Mama Lil Man The Raising of a Sonsband Part One edition by Willie HavMire Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I felt Mama's lil man was written well it has wisdom to offer to the readers. It gave insight to the correlation between ones actions and the results they produce. Thank you for writing Mama's lil man I look forward seeing what will become of it's characters and how they find their way.
Full disclosure here. I did not purchase or read this book in whole, so my "review" can understandably be taken with a grain of salt. However, my decision to not purchase was based on reading the preview.

The author strikes me quickly as someone who is aghast at discrimination faced by men regarding family law and the now defunct social contract between men and women. At least when he is not blaming men for everything wrong on planet earth throughout history. His understanding of history is quite limited, actually.

For instance, Mr. HavMire says that "In the leveling of the gender playing field men are getting systematically devalued in order to value women." Any reasonable interpretation of history reveals that this has always been the case. From women and children first, to male only forced conscription to the traditional male role of protector and provider, men have always been in a role to devalue their own (and each others) life and limb in order to value women.

Rather than recognizing and honoring men for the sacrifices they made to build civilization on sweat and blood, he simply spouts the predictable and shopworn feminist agitprop by claiming that "Male dominated societies have wreaked havoc on the planet with male aggression and lust for power being the driving force behind very heinous acts of violence and instability."

What bollocks.

History is replete with females in power who have sent young men to their deaths in the quest for either power, material wealth or security. Political power, aggression, force and destruction are not gender traits. Try looking up Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi, Hillary Clinton, Golda Mier or any number of European female monarchs who were every bit as quick on the trigger as men.

Ignoring all this is a shot in the foot to credibility. Falsely demonizing men while complaining about (and simultaneously justifying) discrimination toward them will jump out to any thoughtful reader of the preview.

It appears that the author is on to something important about men in modern society, but his message is muddled with bigoted, anti-male sentiment that drained all life from the remaining text, rendering it essentially pointless.
Mr. HavMire is a talented writer addressing a hard topic in the black community.
